May I Have This Dance?

To run ahead of His vision is dangerous. To lag behind, reflects unfounded fear. But in the dance of faith, His leading and my responding, a beauty enters my life. It has the power to take my breath away and to draw people to the beauty of the Dancer. It invites them to lift their arms and allow the Dancer to take their hands and enter into the wonder of His perspective, giving value and meaning to the present and breeding confidence in faith that all is well with our soul.

In His embrace, in looking Him full in the face, in being seen fully accepted and acceptable, you breath.

He is waiting for you to end your dance with the world and your circumstances and allow Him (who has your name engraved on every line of His dance card) to approach and ask for this dance.

The Unchanging way Of God

It is so important to know how God interacts with us.
He is no respecter of persons and His actions toward us are unchanging.

So, how does God act toward us when we run from Him, do not trust Him or stand dejected, disheartened and frightened?

We have a record of how He responds.

- When Elijah was disobedient and dejected...He sent an angel to Elijah.

- When a slave was abandoned by his owner because of sickness...God sent David and his followers to give him food and water

- When Martha and Mary were heartbroken over the death of their brother...Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead

- When the prodigal had exhausted his every resource with nowhere to turn...The father was (and had been) peering into the horizon for his son, every single day.

STOP running, hiding, recriminating. LOOK and watch for the salvation of the Lord. How will He meet you? How will He minister to you? How will He encourage you? How will He love you? Trust, Believe that He is good and RECEIVE.

In returning [to Me] and resting [in Me] you shall be saved; in quietness and in [trusting] confidence shall be your strength. Isaiah 30:15

REMEMBERING THE WEARY TODAY

In Psalm 13, David feels God is distant and has forgotten him. He turns inward to his soul and finds himself in “sorrow of heart…all the day”.

The answer to David’s problems were not found or healed within his emotions or thoughts as they, more often than not, speak loudly the lies we believe.

Rather, as the Psalmist continues, “But I have trusted in Your steadfast love…my heart shall rejoice…I will sing to the LORD”. The answer to a perception of Gods distance is trusting, believing (believing even defined as a desire to believe what we cannot fully believe, e.g. Mark 9:24) and agreeing with who God says He is and who He says YOU are.

He is love and we are His be-loved. Accept His love for you. Be loved. Many are unwilling to open this box fearing it will be empty; God a liar, and hope will be lost. Yet, the place David had gone for healing and encouragement, His soul, only trapped Him day by day.

Trusting changes you. Trusting drinks from a well of Living Water and quenches the dry soul. Trusting costs. Things can be different. Do you need help? Do you desire someone to walk with you as you explore this truth? Do you need a friend to hear you out and love you? There are many capable. If this is your desire, look around. No doubt God has already placed that person in your life. For we are reminded, “It shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.”   -Isaiah 65:24-

My heart's desire is to walk with people until they believe every good thing that God says about them. This happens as they are introduced to intimate relationship with the lover of their soul.

I love living in Utah with my husband and know a Broadway song appropriate for every occasion in life. I  typically get jokes two minutes after they are told.
